1. Who we are
Idle Logout is a Wix app that lets Wix Members sign in with passkeys (Face ID, fingerprint, device PIN, or a security key). This site is the product landing page and app manager companion for the app.

2. Scope
This policy covers:
- Site owners who install or use the Idle Logout app on a Wix site
- Members of those sites who enroll or sign in with a passkey through the app
- Visitors who browse this marketing / docs site
- Site owners who submit feedback on this marketing site
Your Wix site may also collect visitor data under your privacy policy. Wix’s own processing is governed by Wix’s policies. This document explains what we do as the app developer.
3. Information we collect
3.1 App install and lifecycle
When the app is installed, updated, billed, or uninstalled, we may receive and store app instance identifiers, site URL, site name, owner email (when Wix provides it), plan / billing metadata, app version, and related lifecycle event details so we can operate the product, send transactional emails, and measure reliability.
3.2 Passkey credentials (on the installing site)
When a member enrolls a passkey, the app stores WebAuthn credential metadata needed to authenticate later — for example credential IDs, public keys, relying-party hostname, and display names. Private keys stay on the member’s device or authenticator. We do not receive passwords from this flow.
3.3 Feedback and support
If you submit feedback on this site or email us, we collect the information you provide (such as name, email, message, and optional site URL) to respond and improve the product.
3.4 Website analytics and logs
Like most sites, our hosting platform may process standard request logs (for example IP address, user agent, and timestamps) for security, debugging, and operations.
4. How we use information
- Provide, secure, and improve Idle Logout
- Authenticate members with passkeys they enrolled on the site
- Send install, uninstall, review-reminder, and product-update emails
- Respond to support and feedback
- Comply with law and enforce our terms
We do not sell personal information.
5. Sharing, transfer, and disclosure
We share, transfer, or disclose information only in the limited ways below. We do not sell personal information.
5.1 Service providers / processors
- Wix — The app and this site run on Wix. App instance data, CMS collections used for lifecycle tracking, passkey credential collections on the installing site, and hosting/logs are processed on Wix infrastructure as needed to run the product.
- Email delivery — Transactional emails may be sent through Wix email / related mailer infrastructure.
5.2 Your site visitors and members
Sign-in and passkey management UI you place on your Wix site is shown to your members according to your site’s design and membership settings. Credential records exist so those members can sign in; they are not published as a public directory.
5.3 Legal and safety
We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, safety, or security of users, the public, or our services.
5.4 Business transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to continued confidentiality commitments consistent with this policy.
6. Retention and deletion
6.1 How long we keep data
- Passkey credentials — retained on the installing site while the credential is registered, until the member (or site owner via uninstall / data removal) deletes it
- Lifecycle / install records — retained as needed to operate billing awareness, support, security, and product analytics, and for legal compliance
- Feedback submissions — retained as needed to handle your request and improve the product
6.2 How to delete data
- Members — Use Passkey Settings on the live site (or equivalent dashboard-configured management UI) to rename or revoke passkeys. Revoking a passkey removes that credential record so it can no longer be used to sign in.
- Uninstall the app — Uninstalling Idle Logout from the Wix site ends product access for that instance.
- Email request — Email apps@thewixwiz.com with your site URL / instance details to request deletion of personal data we hold as the app developer. We will respond within a reasonable period.
6.3 Other deletion requests
For access, correction, or deletion requests about personal data we process as the app developer, contact apps@thewixwiz.com. We may need enough information to verify the request and locate the relevant records.
7. Security
Passkeys use device-bound or authenticator-bound private keys; the app stores public credential data needed to verify assertions. Application traffic uses HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we work to protect data within the Wix platform capabilities available to the app.
8. Children
Idle Logout is directed to site owners and businesses, not to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app or this site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy where permitted by law.
